From their e-mails, I thought Tender Combo were teenagers (I thought they were way too happy and enthusiastic to be grown-ups). But it turns out they're normal adults with jobs, and keys, and apartments, and they sheltered me on my long drive East and fed me oysters. They also wrote this song.
